From the first pic, I'd say male. That's a thick tail base considering the position of the tail. If it were female would it not be thinner? That's a fairly prominent white lateral stripe too, although I'm not sure if that is definitely an indicator of sex.
I agree, but the tail is not in a straight line from the vent. There is that little indent that goes up. That is how I judged it for femal. I have seen lateral lines on young females also on here. I still say female, but of course this is jmo
I can get a photo of him/her with the tail in a straight postion if that would make the identification easier.
Do females have a hemipenal bulge? I still say male.
lol I don't think it is a bulge. I think it looks like that because of that little indentation. I still am going with female.
