In the morning everything was cool. But after noon. I discoverd that something was on my chameleon's head. Is somthing like white stuff. Some white stuff was appear on my cham's head. What's that? Will my lovely chameleon dead?
Shedding often starts on the head and works down the body. He will be fine, just itchy til it's all done. It can actually be taken as a healthy sign that he is growing. It looks like a good shed, coming off in smooth sections. Not dry and flaky.
Oh. My god I was afraid that it will something bad. But It always stays at the stick which is close to the light. And there was very very hot I think. But should I do? Should I make the stick little bite lower?
Well, the shed looks good, but he does look a little skinny in the legs. How much is he eating? Veileds do go through skinny stages, but he maybe could use a little more food. I can see a little more of his backbone and tail bone than I like to see.
As for the light distance: temperature is more important than distance. You really need to measure the temperature where he sits to bask.
ya obviously a shed ....but ya indeed mist the cage more often during the shed....and also feed that little bugger he looks a little frail ...give em a gutload and a calcium cricket ...he / she will lvoe that! ( a nice fat one)
What is two 10? If you mean 20, I would highly suggest not doing that in fear of bone issues when it is an adult. Also, dont feed 'nice fat ones' unless they are small enough to fit between the space between her eyes.
Variety is always good. Try silkworms, hornworms, cockroaches, superworms, wax worms, or butter worms. Silkworms and cockroaches can be fed everyday like crickets. The others are more like treats.
But the problem was I can't find another pet store which can sell something like superworms. The only one pet store that I knew is closing. Maybe 2 months later I can't find another store can enable insects.....
