HELP. This does not look right.

I walked in on my Jackson today pooping but had never seen anything quite like this. I was wondering if its okay?:eek:

Your Chameleon - Jackson, Male, 8 months. Been in my care seven months.
Handling - Once to twice a week, (no more than 5 minutes total)
Feeding - Crickets, 12-15 daily. Reptashy gutload. + Couple of Hornworms
Supplements - Ive cut back on his supplements due to recent over supplementation. He is currently having only REPTICAL W/O D3 on M,W,F.
Watering - Little dripper constant. Misting 2-3 times daily. He does drink
Fecal Description - Normal
History - Use to have times where he would have weird feces. (The urate was very watery or sometimes hard w/orange crunchy part attached to it)

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Screen DIY cage 18x18x36
Lighting - Reptiglo 5.0+Reptisun, 7AM-7PM, Reptisun Halogen spot 8AM-6:30PM
Temperature - DAY:78-84 TOP 70-73 BOTTOM, Night:57-60 TOP, 55-60 BOTTOM.
Humidity - 50-70 top, 60-75 bottom
Plants - live plants, bromeliad, pothos
Placement - Top of desk, near window.
Location -Glendale, Ca.

Current Problem - While pushing out poop from rectum, chameleon had two red organs, parts(no idea) sticking out from the sides of his rectum soon after poop was released, red parts contracted back inside.

Ha, yep, those are his hemipenes, which sometimes end up getting everted when they pass waste. What you saw is normal, especially as males get larger and their hemipenes grow proportionally larger, and is nothing to worry about.

Yep. They are very potent males with a huge ego. Happens to my panther all the time. And worst he loves to poop outside his cage preferrably while crawling over us. Then he wipes off his spermplug and proudly looks into our eyes. He is still very young but loves to show it off. My veiled was more discreet.
 
Well I have a young Jackson and have yet to see this.....good thing i found out now. Hopefully he can keep it in his pants :p
 
I have seen Monty's hemipenes a couple of times. One time when my friend was here he had them out when I put him back in his cage, and I was expecting to find poop, but there wasn't any! Think he took a liking to my friend!:eek:
 
Haha. I'm so glad its not like some intestinal issue or something. Glad to know my Jackson is proud of his manliness. Hes def ready to make some baby Jackson babies soon.;):D
