This is a thread for people to post pics of there roach setups and give basic info on breeding blaptica dubias. i need alot of help with breeding so plz post pics

Just start a colony of about 50 in a Sterilite or Glad tub. Not even a real need for a top. Give them egg crates and food then let them do the work. Feed them cereals and cricket gutload if you want. Also I have found that feeding them fruit...carrots and oranges promotes breeding and keeps them hydrated. It took me about 2 or 3 months before I saw any babies. It is very simple.

It is very simple.
If you spend more than 10 minutes a week on your roaches....your over-doing it!:)
I would have a top though!!! Males have fluttered out at my house without one.
Also keep the temps between 80 and 90 degrees f.
And good ventilation.
That's it! Don't make it hard.

how do u heat the roaches and can someone plz post some pics of setups

It really is as simple as everyone else is stating. Just heat, feed and serve . . .

Here are some pics:

This is my main container after about 30 days (have not cleaned yet)

This is the little container that I use to gutload the "next in line"to be fed to my chams. I use a premix that I bought from the website that is in the second post of this thread. Same place I bought my starter 50 from.

Finally, I use a heating pad left on 24/7 to heat the main container. Not sure where I bought it or what the brand name is (it is a few years old) but it keeps the container around 85+ degrees F.

* I cut out some of the lid and tapped some screen to it

Remember, these are roaches . . . very forgiving with their habitat.

**I feed the roaches in main container mostly fruit/veggies with a little ground up dog food. I also use water crystals for both containers

Hope this helps
