Help with Changing Diet!

Hello,
I am getting a Male Veiled Chameleon, he is of breeding age and and adult. I have yet to ask how old he actually is! Right now they are just feeding him crickets, would I be able to add mealworms into his diet? As well as some greens? If so, how should I go about doing this and what type of greens are good for him. Any other advice on Chameleons is great!!
Thanks. :D

congrats on soon getting your chameleon :)

Adding a variety of feeder options is a great plan; however, mealworms are unfortunatley not one of the better options. mealworms are a bit hard to digest (high chinton to "meat" ratio, poor ratio of calcium to phosphorous, not overly nutritious even when gutloaded). Consider using them as a treat only.

But there are lots of other insects that make excellent food for chameleons, including roaches, silkworms, butterworms. Here you will find a good list to refer to: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/74-feeders.html

You can offer fruit and veg like collard greens, mustard greens, kale, romaine, dandelion, thin sliced apple, thin sliver peels of carrot, diced butternut squash.

In addition to this forum (use the search tool) there Lots of good reading on these sites as well:
