HELP! Worried chameleon mama!

Hello friends!
I am a new chameleon owner (about two months) but have a few questions!
My chameleon is super friendly she loves to come out, and doesn't mind when I pet her or rub her head, so i decided to buy a HUGE pathos plant for her....However I am TERRIFIED she will fall out?! Do I just hang it and let her in?! I would never forgive myself if she got hurt!
Second question, I have an all screen enclosure how do you keep the humidity up? I use a humidifier all day long as well as spray the cage 3 to 4 times a day! Should that be sufficient? She has very healthy poop and seems very healthy! I've posted a few photos of her!

Thank you my friends! ❤️

Here is my girl! :)

Is the plant in the enclosure? I have a ficus tree that I put near the window and my female veiled loves being on it when I'm home. She's never fallen out. Adding more live plants will help with humidity. I also have a towel draped on two sides of my enclosure, it gives her privacy since her cage is in my room and i spray it and it helps keep the humidity levels up. Cute girl you have!

Thank you so much for your reply! The pothos plant is HUGE and way to large for her cage so I was going to hang it near my big window! I just get so afraid of her falling or "jumping"?! (Not sure if they jump)! However I am definitely looking for smaller live plants for her cage! What would you suggest?!

Awesome idea with the towel I will do that tomorrow morning!!

To keep humidity up don't use a towel, that will suck humidity out. Use something like a shower curtain that you cut to fit the cage and put it on the outside with tape or magnets. For the pothos I'd suggest maybe getting a tree to put underneath it or maybe think about making a small free-range.

Awesome!!!! Ok thank you!!! What tree would you recommend? And does she look healthy and good?! :) I am a worried mama! (I had no idea I would fall so in love with this little chameleon lol)

life plants in the enclosure help keep humidity up too.
I would not worry about falling, one of their defences in nature is to drop themselves from a tree when threatened so their bodies should be able to take a far greater drop than a fall from a plant in your house...
If she brakes a bone when falling it's either a freak accident or the strength of your chameleons bones is compromised (MBD).

A humidity gauge would also be helpful. Hang it in the cage as well, near your thermometer. More live plants the better, makes for good hiding and sleeping spots. My guy sleeps on his pothos vines at night sometimes. No worries at all. She so cool keep up the good work (y)

Sorry, I was not aware the towel was not a good idea :( let me know how the shower curtain works. My humidity levels are pretty good but maybe I should switch to this. Good luck!

I use a shower curtain on 3 sides of my enclosure, great to help with humidity also keeps all the water from misting inside the enclosure and not all over the walls!! (y)

How old is she? Do you know about laying bins and that female chameleons lay infertile clutches of eggs a couple times a year without ever mating? @jannb can for sure help with that one :p she's my go-to-girl for all things veiled ;)

I agree with Kaitaij; I have a shower curtain on all 3-sides as well and my humidity and I mist 3-times a day with warm water.hope it helps you a little. buttons

Hi Jennamason you have a beauty !!. If you don't already have a laying bin you need one . @jannb is amazing . She sent me her link on how to set up . You will get lots of great advice on this form .

I used to use a towel too, I think that is a lot of peoples first thought but I learned that shower curtain or some sort of plastic works better.
