My girl just puked up some browny white mucousy stuff and is now gasping for air, what do I do? I can't get to the vet till 4 and I think she's dying! I can't loose another, I lost my other girl just over a week ago, and my girl wasn't showing any symptoms but maybe got something from her. I don't know what to do!!

I just noticed she had a peice of mealworm stuck in her throat I got it out but she's still having a hard time breathing

How is she doing now?? She may have inhaled some mucous or saliva which would explain the difficulty breathing after you got the mealworm out. I would still take her to the vet even if she improves, just to ensure there is nothing else stuck in there and that there is no severe damage to her mouth or esophagus.

I think she inhaled the mucous, she just passed. :( why can't I keep the young ones alive? Mal grew up nice and strong but the females all died. I think I'm just gonna keep Mal and give up on young females. My husband wants to get me an adult female for Christmas because he knows how depressed I am but I don't know if I'll be ready. I feel so awful

Poor little thing :(

Give yourself a break and enjoy Mal for a bit. There are always adults that need good homes - maybe an adult female might be a good idea when you are ready again.

Thanks Mathis and miles, my husband actually called a few places in Toronto today on his break to see if adult females were available when I told him what happened but I told him I can't get another right now, I'll give it a few months at least but it's nice to know I should be able to get one when I'm ready

I feel so bad for you.:( Losing a cham is so hard, and losing 2 is lots worse. Just hang in with Mal and you will know when you are ready. RIP little girls.
