my 3 month old chameleon keeps going to the bottom of his cage. he has had very dull colors for the past few days. the temp is around 85 degrees. and humidity is about 60 percent. i think he is about to shed to. and i feed him about 18 crickets a day and (he is a eating machine). pleas help:confused:

Is he just walking around or staying on the bottom? If his colors are dull he could be preparing for a shed. It's just important that he's active and eating/drinking well.

how are you measuring the temperatures ? (analog / digital)
85 might be a tad high for the 3 month old, if you can one it down 2 or 3 degrees.
or maybe he doesnt have enough to climb on ?

help

no 85 is good and he has a lot to climb on. he just gets on his vine and hangs and looks at the bottom:confused: and i recently put some moss in the flower pot in his cage so he would not eat the dirt because it had fertilizer in it.

In my opinion you need to work on the plant. If the plant has fertilizer in it get the plant out, wast the dirt off it replace it with organic soil with no fertilizer and be sure you wash the leaves really well it a very mild dish soap them rinse them several times. You don't know what he could have picked up off the plant leaves.
