i am confused. my local petstore here told me that supplements were not to be used for my chameleon's.one of the guy's their had a bad experiance and said his melleri went into convulsions when he dusted his crickets. sp please some one let me know for sure the brands/type if any are to be used and the amount of supplementation every wk. i am working with my corona[nosey be] approx 10 inches snout/vent and my female ambaja approx 5 inches snout/vent.

On alternate weeks I do a dusting with Rep-Cal Herptivite.
2 or 3 times a week I dust lightly with Rep-Cal Calcium without D3
Once every week to 10 days I dust lightly with the Calcium that has D3.
2 to 3 times a week I offer collard greens (also high in Calcium) and I (of course)
pay attention to
providing the feeders with a good gutload

Dusting.
The only thing I can add is that dusting means dust. It does not mean coating. The guy probably sent the cham into convulsions by coating the crickets with supplement. You should barely be able to see the supplement on the insects. A couple of books show white coated insects in the feeding cup. That would be a problem for sure

i thank u for the fast replies, i barely coated a couple of med crickets then i feed corona some lg super worms,corona thax u! ill be dusting lightly for the next few days,scince he has been with out supplements for almost a month. i have repcal calcium no phosphorus,nod3, and also i have 2:1 calcium/phosphorus powdered supplement w/vitamins i should use that lightly also like once a week?ill try posting some pics of my boy i was going to sell him and my little girl but ill just keep them they really grow on u and i would feel better just letting some of my other reps go instead. thanx again laters
