my little girl is having some problems. she has been siting on the ground in the cage and when i looked at her earlier today her eyes were sunken in. i took her out and she had one of her nostrils blocked by a scab type thing that was yellowish. her other nostril looked like she had a little scab from a little bit of blood by her nose. she has been shedding for the past about week. any opinions? how can i help her?

We need a lot more info. Try filling out the form on how to ask for help. This could be a variety of things. What is her age, what species, method of misting, cage temps etc. Sometimes chameleons get a deposit of salts on their nostrils. Its their way a riding themselves of excess. Not sure about blood in it though.

sunken eyes usually mean dehydration same as long sheds and long lasting scabs. pictures would be way more helpful. pictures are worth a thousand words.

ahhhh!

another thing is that she has a blackish scab type looking thing on her head. idk if she got burned before and its healing or if it is an infection.

she is about 4 mo. female panther. dont know locale. i keep the humidity between 40 and 80.

i have tried crickets and mealworms but she doesnt seem to like the crickets and the only time i see her eat is when i put it in front of her on the tongs. her temps have been fine. she just suddenly looks super skinny, is keeping her eyes closed, is weak, has no balance, but is keeping her bright salmony color.

idk what to do to help her. i did see her poop yesterday so she doesnt seem to have a problem there. i just dont know what to do next. ill try to post some photos.

circle of life i guess...

i was afraid this was going to happen. just checked her after about 30 min break from checkin on her before and she has passed :[ im so sad. i just wish i knew what i could have done. she was thriving and suddenly plummeted... may she rest in peace.

I saw your pictures of her....she was great looking....sorry to hear the sad news.....
