got Gustavo today. some signs are promising....others not so much. one eye does work still and who knows if the other is savable. i will update when i know more.

well....doesnt look good. it has spit up anything I've given it and appears its digestive system is not working. I am giving it another day or 2 to see if he gets any better.
and this leads me to my question:
what do you do when it is time to let go?
whats a vet cost to euthanize?
is there any humane way to do it yourself?

is his ye like this i took it to vets and they cnt really do anything she said she said cud b swelling or cyd b where his eyes has bulged out and aint gone bak in right i am still worried bt he is quite healthy eas well always wnts to eat and has a gd grip on him and lively if u cud tell me cud help eachother out here thanx hope he gets better

Hey, IMO all you can do is try to make the chameleon as comfortable as possible. Chameleon are so delicate.
How bad is he? Do you think he is in a lot of pain? When they are really sick I don't think it takes that long. I believe that euthanizing was not very reasonably priced option... $100 or so (@ Tampa Vet), but they also charged us $1K for our cham to pretty much die there over night....to never see the exotics specialist. So it prob depends on the place. I'm not strong willed enough to do it myself...but I suppose if I were I would give it an early Viking Funeral. I'm sorry about this girl

he is really bad. wont keep any food down. lots of eye problems and on top of that the strength is pretty weak.
