Hiding Chameleon

Hi Guys

New to the site but not sure if i have a problem or not?
We go a new chameleon about 3 days ago and seemed to settle in ok, he is 4 years old and was free to a good home as they were moving.
he hid from the start for a couple of hours but thats prob because i put him in there from a shoe box for transportation.
He has been out since then and up in the vines at the top not hiding.

But he is now at the back behind the vines hiding and a dark colour but guess thats because the back of the cage is black.
He has been there all day, have we got something to worry about

It's not uncommon for them to take a week to completely settle in. It's also not uncommon for them to turn dark to try to absorb more heat. If he just does this for a short time when the light first turns on, I wouldn't be overly worried.
