is this normal....when my cham goes to sleep his eyes sink in slighty....but when he is awake they look fine... :/

ok im clamer now :] i really never have noticed this till this afternoon i was misting him and i saw him sleeping (i always mist his cage 5 minutes befor lights off to keep it humid) i saw his eyes sunked in a lil. not much but a little :]

don't mist 5 minutes before light out.
Sleeping in a wet cage can prove to be detrimental to his health.

Its normal yes. I assume muscles that control eye movement/placement are relaxed when its asleep. Its waking photos look great!

my female does the exact same thing that yours does, I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.

Yay! lol i can confirm that he is doing well: ] ok thanks for letting me know about now spraying/misting before bed :]. by the way do you guys think he is ready for super worms? hornworms? hmm you know another thing i never did get is what is a hybird chameleon...? how can you tell and do you guys know if my chameleon is a sunburst or what else? right now the colors ive seen him turn is/are the ones in the pictures and when he is in his basking spot he turns brown. have not seen any oranges or reds nor yellows for that matter.

Hybrid by definition is the mating of 2 separate species usually within the same genus resulting in offspring. The offspring of this copulation would be hybrids. In the cham world the term is tossed around loosely, usually in reference to mixing of panther chameleon locals. Same species just from different locations (locals) in Madagascar. The different locals produce different color morphs of this species. Each local is known for it's particular set of color.

The term hybrid is not usually used to define any other crossing of color morph that I am aware of.

Your guy is still very young and will continue to increase in color until he is over a yr old. Then and only then can you say what specialty name or "morph" he has turned out to be.
