Quick question are home depot plants safe for chameleon just want to make sure they are not spray with any pesticides or anything that can harm them I bought organic potting soil animal safe but just want to make sure on plant looking into pothos. Thanks
Most of my plants are from Home Depot, but remember not all plants are safe for your chameleon.
For the ones that are chameleon friendly, I make sure to thoroughly rinse all the leaves as well as remove the plant from the soil and rinse the roots as to be sure there are no harmful fertilizers left on the plant. I then re-plant it in a soil without fertilizers and then hang it in the cage.
I got most of my plants from Home Depot too. I immediately wash them under the shower head, re-pot them and let them grow for a week or so before putting them into the cage. Also, most plants are labeled accordingly so buyer beware.
Just to add another voice to the consensus, I too get most of my plants from Home Depot. After a good washing and repotting with organic soil, they're good to go
