Homemade outdoor enclosures

I was wanting some ideas and pictures of some homemade outdoor cages! Show me some of yours please?

Also how did he make the doors? I've never built anything near as complex as an enclosure.

And if you don't mind me asking about how much did a 2x2x4 enclosure cost?

It's 1/4 inch coated hardware cloth and he used 1/4 inch by 1 inch staples with an air staple gun to attach. The details are in the pictures....no blueprints. All but one cage is a 2x2x4 plus the legs.

He made the cage first and left one side open and measured the opening and used 4 pieces of 2x2's. Everything was scwewed together with deck screws and glue.

The price for materials to make a 2x2x4 would be between $100 to $150.

I like them, just curious have you ever had problems with spiders it wasps or any sort getting into them? I'm thinking about making one but might use aluminum screen since there's black widows in my area.

I live in the FL Keys with all kinds of wild life around. Screen is not safe for outside. Rodents, raccoons or even large birds can tear or gnaw through screen. Check out this thread.

That's terrible!!! What gauge/type of screen di you use? Do you think maybe using the type of screen you're using plus a window screen would be acceptable? I am just worried a hornet will fly in and he'll try to eat it or get stung or even worse a black widow being his snack.

We used 1/2 inch plastic coated hardware cloth. It's also easy on their nails. It would be fine to wrap the outside with screen however screen would block some of the UVB.
