I fed him the other one because it had gimpy wings, couldn't curl his mouth piece up properly and was missing its front leg.It had a very difficult time coming out of its cocoon.

How do they handle eating the moths? They look so big! I have several in cocoons now. What was your process in the cocoon stage to get them to hatch?

Light cycle 10 hr day, higher temps, and mist once a day. And my guy did perfectly fine eating it. Just munch on it a bunch and then swallowed. No problems

I didn't have them on a light cycle or must them everyday until the past two weeks. It took them quite a while to hatch and I think it's bc I didn't have them on a light cycle to begin with. So I think that's why I had forming issues with the male and then they wouldn't mate.

Ive got a pair in cocoon they have been in there for months I just checked them the other day and they still moved when touched I try to mist every week but I just have them in the dark most of the time why do they need light?

If your able to get a shot of one being devoured, I'd love to see it!

There's a picture of mine eating one that I took quite a while ago

As for how to keep them and make em hatch out....

I just keep mine on paper towels and keep the paper towels wet at all times. Put them under a light and it makes them hatch out faster and helps to prevent them from going into diapause. I have one currently in my possession that has been in prolonged diapause since about April or May though. Kind of sucks because all of the other ones I had from that batch hatched out besides that one and I kept them all the same way. But I know it is still alive because it wiggles when I touch it. It will hatch one of these days soon I would think.... lol. Its the only one I have ever had that has taken more than a month or so to hatch.
