hey guys, i've got a 1 and a half year old male veiled cham and he will only eat horned worms. i can show him crickets and superworms but he doesnt give them the time of day. As soon as i show him a blue horned worm he instantly starts getting excited and goes right after it. i feed him one or 2 every second day or so. is this providing proper nutrients to him? i try feeding them veggies for gutloading, is there any greens in specific to feed them to maximize nutrition?

This is called a hunger strike. That is normal.

Usually they are just being spoiled brats, mine fell in love with super worms and would only eat those for a long time.

Just don't feed him a hornworm until he eats something else! Easy fix. Do not feed him any hornworms until he finally grows out of it. :)

ive actually tried not feeding him for 3 or 4 days while offering him circkets and superworms and he just doesnt care. he goes down to the bottom of his cage and starts flicking his tongue randomly things. ive brought him into the vet a few times for a check ups and hes in good health. has a hell of a grip on him too haha. i dont even mind feedng him only the horned worms im just wondering if hes getting the proper nutrition he needs

3 or 4 days is nothing to an adult healthy chameleon. wait longer.
it is not healthy to only eat hornworms. you cant vary the gutload much, and they are very soft. You need some chinton / roughage in the diet.
try offering the crickets etc in a different way (a very large dark coloured bowl, perhaps)
