Hornworm Pupae

I got some new plants for Picasso’s enclosure, and while I was moving stuff around ... surprise! I found a hornworm pupae. I usually give Picasso the hornworm by holding it up to him (with tongs), but he sometimes loses his appetite (especially around shedding time) and doesn’t want it at that moment. Since he’s big enough, I sometimes set the hornworm in the cage. I guess one hid and pupated. I put it in a screen cage on some moss. What else should I do and what do I do when it emerges (I’ve never raised my own hornworms before, and I have never had one pupate)?

They (hawk moths) are safe for chameleons to eat, correct?

yea, they are big though. it makes for a great game for the chameleon to catch them.
