how often can u give hornworms to a vailed cham ?
i wanna buy some for him, but dont know how much can i give him .he is almost a year old .

thanks 4 the help

You want to buy the small because they grow very fast. If you order from Great Lakes they give you different sizes in the small pod. I feed off the largest ones first and usually 3-4 a day and everyday till they are all gone. Don't forget to dust with calcium every other day and maybe just one since they are large.

She can handle the small ones up to 1" or 1 1/2". I wouldn't give her anything larger than that unless you think she can handle it. You will want to feed them quickly or put the pod in the fridge to slow down their growth. If they start to turn black, don't feed those, throw them out. Just to be on the safe side.

Yeah i was reading that u can slow their growth like that.

Dont mean to hi-jack the thread but this thread just made me buy some of these hornworms and some dubia for my cham.

She is going to eating like a Queen in a week or so!! :D

If you put the horns in the refrigerator, it is one day in, 2or more days out. Otherwise they go to horn heaven...:D
