Your Chameleon - Veiled, male, 4 weeks old, had for 3 days
Handling - Only to put into enclosure when I got him, I do not handle him but I do wipe the water from bottom of terr.
Feeding - 1/8 inch crickets, about 10 per day- have only seen him eat about 5-6 per day. 5 kept in cup throughout day and about 5 in am and pm for free range. Gut loading with flukers and give them the flukers water crystals /calcium.
Supplements - Reptical calcium w/o D3 daily, also have flukers calcium w/D3 and reptivite multivitamin planned for 1-2 times per month.
Watering - Have a little dripper running down plants in corner, hand mist 3-5 times per day about 1-2 minutes each time. I have not seen him drink.
Fecal Description - Only saw one dropping in cup when brought home. White urates and firm stool.
History - Got from midwest reptile show in Indy on sunday.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Glass 18X18X24 Glass Zoomed terrarium. I did my research before buying this and find it was best for my living situation. I do plan to build a larger terr when he gets older, maybe a 24X24X48? I use a small tub with screen over the top for drainage. Emptied about 2 times per day.
Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 UVB tube bulb, 75 watt white house bulb for basking. On from 7am to 8pm.
Temperature - Ambient-70-75, Basking 83-93. Overnight is usually in the 60's. Measured with 2 digital thermometers.
Humidity - 45-57 before misting, 70-80 after misting. Use a digital hygrometer
Plants - 2 fake and 1 live golden pothos.
Placement - In living room, not very high traffic. Top of cage is about 4.5 feet up.
Location - Northwest indiana
Current Problem - No real problems, just wanted opinions of how I am doing. All advice is appreciated as this is my first cham! I will hopefully post some pics tomorrow.
