She is a cutie. How long have you had her? What is your supplementation schedule and lighting set up?

She looks beautiful. :) Just make sure your husbandry and supplements/ect are right so she grows up beautiful too.

shes georgous!!

The dark scales on near the head are OK!

I was so worried about my chams dark scales on his head, i posted pics and everyone reasurred me things were great! So i dont want you to worry about that!

Well I got her when she was 6 weeks old and that was April 26th "for my birthday" and for the supplements I powder her food every time I feed her "I feed her twice a day and 5-10 crickets at a time" then I also put the other powder in 2-3 time a week. I have a heat lamp, night heat lamp and a uv light. I turn her uv and day light on at 7am and then turn her night lamp on at 8-9pm. Does everything seem about right? :) I am take pics of her setup if wanted also.

giiirl make sure you dont have "D3" in your dusting. that one should only be used 2x a month.. the pet store said i should use it daily, but I've learned to much D3 can really harm our Chameleons :( who knew, trying to help him could hurt him :'(

Try mealworms, wax worms and horn worms. Dubia roaches are O.K. but i refuse to buy them. Some say they will eat fruit, I havent tried yet, but will soon :)

Most of the time she is the color you see in the pics but sometimes she gets blue, white, black and yellow makings. But that's every once in a blue moon. How can I bring out more colors?

Her pee is that white poopy stuff! i just learned this 2 days ago!!!

healthy & hydrated chams will 'pee' or urate white foam, if she is ever dehydrated, it will be green, orange or yellow (i think, but white is deff GOOD!) the poop smells hahaha i hate it!

My cham always urates and poops on his live plants or in his dripper collector... Like what're you doinggg?! hahaha

I don't ever see her pee so I am assuming it is clear and her poop is white but sometimes darker.

Yes, the D3 can be used twice a month, they need to D3 for sure, just not to much or to little. I have Kilo's cage open, he keeps crawling to the door and crwaling on it, he swings inside, then crawls onto the branch and the door opens, and he goes right back! like its a ride, I wish I could video tape this, but my BF has the cell phone >.< DARN!

I use the one without D3 right?

That is really cute. I wish My cham would do more she rarely lets me hold her. :( any idea on how to get her to be friendly?

Girl the secret is hand feeding her, get a glass shot glass or something, start by putting her feed into it (if you can hold it, then hold the feed) but if you assioate your hand with always taking her out, shell resent you. I have Kilo coming out his cage onto my hand to get the feed out of the shot glass, he is hesitatant, but be patient, I've had Kilo for 11 days now. I have handled him 3-4 times (one was a cage cleaning, another was moving him to clean poop!) But he doesnt love it, he enjoys crawling up my head. they always want to climb UP! so dont forget that.

Lots of snacks, you cant over feed her, so dont be shy to keep going, dust the normal ammount without D3 and the 'snacks' when ur training her to come out, then go ahead.
If you use skype, i can show you me doing this to kilo before i put him to sleep.

rep-cal is what i use for sups, i have three different ones
calcium
calcium w/d3
and herptavite

just be aware if its a female like mine the more sups you give her the more often she will lay eggs, learn to find the right balance of sups, and research it so you can understand what signs to look for when shes receptive and what to do if she lays eggs, personally my enclosure is so big i keep a egg laying bin in there at all times so i dont have to manually remove her when she needs to lay...

also as a general rule cham's dont like being handled, they tollerate it and sometimes get accustomed to it...

personally i let mine do what it wanted from day one meaning i rarely handle her... thats not to say she wont take food out of my hand, she will no problem, and thats generally how i feed her....

also it does a lot of good to properly gut load your insects, and im not talking flukers gut load, i use t-rex ILF it has a ton of ingredients, but if you want to do it like a pro then youll research and make your own gut load mixure...

i have had my female for 5 years now, shes in her old age now... and ive learned a ton about them...

here is some pics of her and her enclosure, its 6ft tall x 3.5ft deep x 4ft wide, i built the hole thing for a fraction of what normal cages cost, and i have a automatic misting system....

you dont need the heat lamp at night unless the ambient temperature is dropping below 50 degrees fahrenheit/ 10 degrees celcius. any light at night disturbs their sleep.
this is a caresheet for veileds that you should check out. it goes over supplements, how often to use them, enclosure, lighting, humidity, all the really important stuff that she needs to be a big healthy girl :) https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/veiled/

+1 put that heat lamp on a timer, and i read this caresheet and others like it prolly 100 times before and after i got my cham, very helpful...

its important to do your research for sure especially with chams! they need more precise care then other reptiles as i have learned :)
and since you have a female, make sure when you read the caresheet that you read the part about egg laying and the laying bin because in several months she'll be needing that!! i cant wait to see more pics of her as her colors come in! thats one of the many things i love about chams is that they start out pretty much all the same color and as they grow up they develop their own unique colors and patterns :) :D

i remember when my cham was just plain green looking when she was young and it was a huge waiting game just wanting colors more and more, now i wish she was young again..:)
