its sealed up when it closes, and tuthfully i can barley hear then when closed..all i hear are my fan (on low so there is only air circulation, and fan noise)..but then again i was used to 10 + years of large crix chirping it up all through the night...

nohing a glass of wine or a beer wont numb out..LOL

if you have a lil bit of room in your closet you will be set..just get two of my large ones and stack them, heat pad in the middle, mist them once a day (not too much) ..also either put a fan in there and hot glue some mesh over a couple of squares you cut out, or go elaborate and use computer fans bolted on with small cut outs of carbon filter element..lol i did, i know, im crazey..but in the closet you wont even hear them, especially if you have a small fan for your self, more loud than moves air is even better..lol

when its closed its sealed..they cant escape..and ive yet to see one jump..the like it in there..lol

i got mine from wally bam (walmart)..they where like 8.88 on sale, but have all different kinds to choose from..ied say get a double stack one so you have an all in one..

i didnt go to wild and get a thousand..i used maybe 100 or so..left them there to breed and eat (gut load it up) and then a week later put the fatty females in the smaller one with one male (theres like 15 females in there and one male)..then leave them in there for 16 days, then remove the females..spray mist the egg medium every morning, to make it real wet so the eggs dont dry, and eventually (like 10 days later) you will see micro crickeys!!
