How long are suppliments good for?

Does anyone know what the shelf life of opened suppliments are?

I was reading another board and got hint about suppliments going bad over time. I know I've had some of mine for quite awhile.

my vet said that cal is good for along time its the vits that start to degrade as soon as you open them and after 3 months start a new vit

Calcium (without D3) will last forever. Minerals are stable.

Vitamins degrade. There should be an expiry date on the product you bought. Good to check that before you buy, to ensure you get as much life out of it as you can. A year is the maximum.

I have never managed to use even half a container, even with all the animals I've sometimes had at one time.

With a Jackson chameleon, you're certainly never going to go through much before it expires. You might consider getting a few people together and splitting a container
