how long before a change?

im currently using a 100w mercury vapour bulb which im told gives out uva,uvb and a good heat supply,ive been using it since i got rico about 18 months ago,my question is how often should it be changed,cos its about £60 a pop depending on where you go.

UVB bulbs Phil's be replaced every 6-9 months as after this point they drastically reduce in UVB output

Im lucky if they last 6 months before they blow up...

i had one fall out of the clamp when i first got it and boy did it explode,we had to air the place out for hours.
