How long before my female lays her eggs????

If she is done with the eggs how long should I wait before taking the eggs out? The same day?
Yes when she covers them up she is done, and going to need water and lots of it. I would take the eggs out right after she is done, and if you think they are fertile you'll want to be careful not to turn them over as you put them in the vermiculite.

Hoe would I know if they're fertile? If I put it in the vermiculite should I just leave it like that or put water on the sides? In what tipe of bucket or something can I put the eggs in and how does it work?

Well if she has been with a male I would treat them as fertile. You just put them in a Tupper wear type enclosure with moist vermiculite, put them in the closet, and make sure the temps stay consistently between 72-80 degrease until they hatch in approximately 7 months. If they shrivel and become moldy they are no good and should be thrown away. Hope this is of some help.

Yes it helps a lot thank you. One more thing it would be her first time laying eggs how much would she lay and would there be any baby chameleons after 7 months?

Well she could possibly lay as many as 80-90 eggs that's why after she lays these eggs you should tone down her food intake, and lower her temps to a basking area of the low 80's. Weather on not there will be babies depends on weather or not she has been with a male.

To set up an incubation container, use a shoebox sized tupperware container. Fill it about half full of slightly moist vermiculite and lay the eggs in rows in dents you make with your thumb about an inch apart in all directions. Put the lid on the container and put them in a dark place where the temperature is around 73 degrees F.

To test the vermiculite for moisture, take a fist full of it and squeeze...If only a drop or two of water comes out it should be Ok.

When moving the eggs from where they were laid to the incubation container be careful not to rotate/turn them.

You shouldn't keep them together. You will stress the female out and maybe even the male too. You could lose her.

Ok I'll keep them separated. We're moving now at the end of march so I have to move the chameleons also. Would it disrupt her and stress her out?

Ok but she will still lay her eggs? Can I cover up her cage now then yo prevent less stress or leave it as it is

Yes cover the cage asap the more she feels secluded and secure the better off and more likely she is to lay as soon as she is ready
