How long before polyurethane is cham-safe?

I'll be finishing a cage tonight with a coat of polyurethane and I'd like to know how long until the cage is chameleon-safe? I wouldn't want the fumes to hurt her.

The product label should give you the cure time at your temperature range. Be conservative and wait another day if it's humid. You want the surface to be really hard and have no smell.

I used spar urethane and it said 24 hours between coats. Then I waited at least a week after that! Still smelled a little bit but didn't bother my cham. It was extremely humid the whole time.
