How long can a chameleon go without eating

And what are you doing to fix the eye problem? It has been at least 2 months and the problem is still there. It is unrealistic to assume that he has had shed stuck in his eye for that long... Even if it really is just shed skin caught in the eye, it seems quite clear to me that it is not going to come out on its own at this point

It’s already out his eyes have been open since yesterday

Okay let's try thinking about it this way: (1) if the problem was really that he wasn't eating because his eyes were closed due to stuck shed, and (2) his eyes are fine now, then (3) Why isn't he eating now that his eyes are better??

If his eyes were the problem and now they are no longer a problem, then he should be eating again according to your line of thinking. Also, you said the vet is an exotics vet. That's nice and well and good, but not all exotic vets specialize in chameleons

His eyes have been open for 1 day and that is the only exotics vet around here

Any we are only telling you what you need to change about your enclosure and equipment.. you are ignoring everyone's advice and ex: your uvb... you have been suggested to change this months ago by so many keepers despite the warnings that your chameleon will die if you cannot provide the correct care he needs. Your asking for help only goes so far if you do not choose to act and make changes he needs. It's sad really I feel there is more wrong with him..

I have spent about 400 dollars in the past 2 months listening to you guys because ik you guys know what your talking about because you are all more experienced than me even in class I’m on the forum looking at things i can better

Try to get him some more nutritionally dense foods. Even superworms at this point. Hornworms don't give much other than water and calcium.

He shot his tongue farther than i have ever seen him before but he barely missed the cricket, ik it’s too late for him to eat but i just wanted to try I’m going to feed him as much as i can after school tommorow

this morning i put the container of superworms in front of him and he looked very intrigued but i was already running late and had to go to school, it seems like he can’t decide which cricket or worm he wants to pick out

The deli cups i have are way bigger than him his tongue wouldn’t reach to the bottom today i will get the medium size ones
