How long can my cham stay out of his cage?

My veiled seems to enjoy time out of his cage. He usually comes over to climb up my arm when I'm spraying or cleaning. I live in England so it's not usually warm enough for him, unless it's a particularly hot day, so I have a heat lamp set up at a window where he goes to get warm. But I obviously want him getting enough UV rays too? Does anyone set up a UV lamp around their house as well as basking light? Or can he go without it for an hour or 2 a day?

My panther loves being out i have to have his door shut when I'm misting otherwise he's out strait away lol! I have a free range set up with a heat lamp and a ubv,but i don't always have the uv on, he gets more than enough in his cage with my T5 ubv i have in there, i think he should be fine as long as he has some heat, also my Cham climbs down from his free range up my sofa right to the other side of the room to the window with his umbrella plant and there is no heat or ubv there at all and he will sit and chill for an hour or so there having a nosey out the window, and he is fine! I move him back in his cage or back to his free range after an hour or so as I'm worried he will be abit cold, but he will stay on his free range for hours on end with is heat bulb on so that shouldn't be a problem, oh and I'm in sunny england too lol and my room temp is good enough for him :)

Haha its ace isnt it :D but my cham is a weirdo lol, ur not aloud to help him out the cage he likes to get out himself! Lol and when he is on the top and the end of his door ill pop my hand out and then he climbs right on :) but i have to wait for him tho lol!

I am sure in the wild there are days when the sun does not shine and they don't get any if much uvb so a few hours away from the uvb is not going to hurt him.

Also weird

Mine is a weirdo to lol. He goes around the outside of the cage and sometimes he goes back in by himself but there are times where he climbs down this fake plant and walks around my room. He won't climb on my hand unless he is outside and is using me to try to get to the bigger trees where I won't allow him to go or I have to man handle him onto my hand lol.

He was chillin on his free range, we was all watching tv then next min my friend jason said wtf!?!? Zuggie had climbed down the free range onto the floor up the side of the sofa onto the arm were jason was sat he came to say hello :) he then walked down the back of the sofa behind all of us mind u there was 5 of us on sofa! Climbed down the sofa up the washing basket onto the radiator maiden then onto his umbrella tree in the window!! He loves that plant with all his heart An he would do anything to get to it :) he's had it since his baby cage so he adores it! Hehe :)

my guy is dif, since i made him his condo he doesnt want out unless its shower time then he doesnt want back in.
he used to love coming out when he was in his teen cage. i moved him into a smaller cage not too long ago to see if he wanted to come out more.

baby cage = 18''t x 12''w x 12''d
teen cage 2'd x 2'w x 3't
first condo, 2'd x 3 1/2' w x 6' t
current cage, 2 1/2'd x 4'w x 5't inside

You need a heat source now they need a heat source remember they are native to warm climate and are cold blooded so need an external heat supply
