How long do chameleons sleep ?

Ok I been trying to find what is normal. I have the lights on a timer 7-7 but I noticed that by 4:30 5 pm he kinda starts to hide in the plants. And won’t go back up that normal timing ? Is he sleeping too long? In the am he usually still hiding until the misting comes on at 8 am. Is that normal? So my question is what is normal to your Cham

They will usually find their 'bedtime spot' an hour or so before lights out. More than likely normal!

they need 12hrs of day and 12 hrs of uninterrupted sleep. no red light

My boy loves hunkering down in a perfect spot a couple hours before bedtime. As long your chameleon doesn't close their eyes and actually sleep before the lights are off, I think everything sounds normal

Yup eyes are open, “ I see you looking at me
