so i had another thread awhile back how my cham was shedding on his tail only. and now hes started a full body shed but he only shed most of his face and some of his body. about how long on average does it take for a veiled to shed? 2 days? i spray him and his cage for about 5 minutes to try and help him shed.

It depends, sometimes my boy will still do his "Poof, I'm a cotton ball! "and shed all at once, but generally they've got one piece shedding at a time at a year old.

hes more than a year old, and mostly chills out in his basking spot literally the whole day laying like a plate and getting all of the heat in, do you think this contributes to the slow shedding or stage shedding? hes sitting in his basking spot right now btw and runs out of his basking spot for 2 reasons normally, im feeding or i spray him or hes to hot (he gets 'to hot' rarely)

From my experience they sometimes dont fully shed, my male is a pain he is always shedding or have loose skin somewhere on his body.

Warm mist them more regulary and that will help them :)

got it, usually after i fill up my mister i fill it up with warm water and give him a good spray with that

My new Cham (4+ months) shed in one day. All of him. When I came home from work, BAM! He was in his new skin and there was skin everywhere. Shed time vary from Cham to Cham and species to species.

Mine took about a week to shed..so long that I posted a thread thinking he had skin problems lol..his face took the longest and then poof he was done..the warm shower thing works pretty cool too and they seem to like it.
