Please send me your helpb☺️

They can take upwards of 24 hours, even longer. If they are anything like birds, as they pip and the time after pipping, they pull the egg yolk into their abdomens. If you help them, you could damage the circulatory system under the shell that is in the process of sealing itself off or pull the baby out before it has pulled the yolk into its body.. Let nature take its course. If there's a problem, there is usually a reason.

Just wondering if any experienced and first time breeders could let me know what the longest one of there babies took to leave the egg.

2 days isn't uncommon 3 days is fine too. Sometimes the first egg takes the longest. They'll stick their head out, then pull it back in, it takes a couple of days to absorb the yolk sac. A healthy neonate will make it out on its own.
I've heard of some people helping a baby out of the egg after 3or4 days and the baby turning out fine. This has never happened for me. If they don't make it out by themselves they haven't survived for me, with my help or not.

Ok great. Thanks for the advice. He has been moving around in there I saw his tail up the pipped end and now his nose is back there pushing on it. I think I'm just being a worried dad haha. Will keep everyone posted

Just a worried father for nothing so next question. How long should I keep him/her in the tub? So excited and on Christmas Day ☺️

They won't eat the first day and probably not the second day. Some breeders like to leave the baby in the egg container because there may be some cue for the other eggs to start hatching. I've done it both ways: leaving them in the egg container and removing them as soon as they hatch. The only time I leave them in the egg container for sure is if they're out of the egg but still have some yolk left in the umbilical cord.

Ok thanks bob. Well how long can I leave it in the tub for. I've got a Christmas lunch now for about 4-5hrs. Will it be right?
