I currently give my 3-4 month old chameleon 8-12 crickets a day and want to start introducing other bugs like wax worms and BSFL and was wondering how much of each I should give him daily.
At that age, (esp. if your chameleon is a male) he should be eating as much as he wants and as he ages up then his amount of bugs should be decreased accordingly. The BSFL are a really great option because of the high calcium to phosphorus ratio; however, wax worms are pretty fattening so they should be given sparsely, especially if your chameleon is a female in order to lessen the chances of large egg clutches and health issues due to egg binding.
