How many bearded pigmys could i house in a exotera style 12x12x18 ?

A pair, or 1 male and 2 females.

thank you i got one of the zoomed natural terrariums, they are a lot cheaper than the exotera ones, and so far seem just as good.

would live moss be ok for the floor of the enclosure ?

it'll make the enclosure harder to clean. I asked the same thing and i was told it didn't serve to much of a purpose. But, i do have a Veiled.

You will need more than moss if you have females-they will need to lay eggs. I prefer Ecoearth or BedABeast, but you can use organic soil. There are articles here on how to set up Pygmy substrate. If you go to my website I have instructions on how to do it.
