How many grasshoppers does an adult veiled chameleon eat per day?

I have 3 red-eyed tree frogs 🐸 how many hoppers on a daily/weekly basis should i supply them. I pop about ten small hoppers in their home every 2/3 days. I've had them over two years now, so I'm obviously not starving them! 🙈

Thank you for any advice you may offer me. Mark in UK 🇬🇧

Hello,

All your animals are sooo cute! Such bright green.

As for your question about feeding, he should be eating 2-3 every other day. Here is a more in depth answer- https://chameleonacademy.com/basics-feeding-chameleons/

His casque looks a little puffy however, maybe even go 1 or 2 feeders every once in a while.

Thanks very much for your lovely compliments

Unfortunately he's getting Cornea Caps only on his left eye every couple of months. I've to take him to a specialist vet, which is quite far away. Ideally, I'd love to remove them myself.

Regarding feeders, do you mean insects. I will never let a male cricket into my house, ever again. I suffer from insomnia and don't take too kindly to incessant all night chirping!

I am sorry to hear that. Glad you found a good vet to take care of him.

Yes, any insects is what I meant. Haha crickets can get quite annoying. 😂

They're not baggy, there on stalks for better all round vision. He's just prone to cornea Caps. I bought tweezers to try and remove them myself. It's costly to travel and pay veterinarian bills too

With all due respect dear. My veterinarian is happy, I'm happy
If you've nothing positive to say, please don't reply. Thank you so much 💓
