Hello this is what was recommended to me!!How much of calcium with d3 ?
An regular calcium with out d3 ?
An herpitvite?
I am seeing other ppl ways of doin it not everyone does everything the same so yeaYou just dust lightly with the corresponding supplement for that feeding.
Haven't you already been told over and over what to give, and the schedule?
No.. just other ppl Schedule How they do it ... just curiousAre you asking about the quantity to use? I use deli cups. I sprinkle a small amount in, put the bugs in and just give a little swirl or shake. You don’t want them looking like little white snowmen...just a little light dusting will do.
Thank you for your information ?I use Repashy super cal noD each feeding except for twice a month Repashy supervite and twice a month Repashy calcium plus LoD (alternating every other week). This is what my vet recommended and what has been working well for my chams.

It’s what my chameleon specialist vet recommended. I had been using just the calcium with LoD at every feeding and I believe it caused eye and gular edema. He said the Repashy medD would be better for the D3 dosing days, but the LoD would be ok. I have wondered about it, but trust his expertise and haven’t had any issues...so far. On your voiced concern, I will most definitely do a bit of my own homework on it.thats a lot of vitamins and d3. The supervite has lots of vitamins a and d in it.
What kind of chameleon we’re you seeing edema in and around what age did it begin? Asking for a friend who is using LoD at every feeding ?It’s what my chameleon specialist vet recommended. So you do six days with out d3 is what you sayin?Lightly dust. No powdered donuts? My schedule is Calcium without phosphorus or vitamin D3 every day except Sundays, and every Sunday I alternate between Calcium with D3 powder and the Multivitamin powder.

A veiled female that had just laid her first clutch. She’d be fine until I fed her and within a minute she got big puffs around both eyes that lasted a few hours. It was the vet that pointed out the gular edema...being my first cham, I didn’t know it wasn’t normal. She’s fine with getting it twice a month. What kind of chameleon we’re you seeing edema in and around what age did it begin? Asking for a friend who is using LoD at every feeding ?
I find this topic to be very interesting and one of the bigger question marks of the hobby. Everyone seems to do something a little different and results are inconsistent at best. You saw edema in your veiled from LoD while the Kammers use Calcium Plus with even more vitamin D every feeding on their panthers with no observable concerns. Certainly there are other factors at play such as species variation and environmental factors. But I’m sure, just as us humans, we are all unique so adjustments must be made based on the individual.A veiled female that had just laid her first clutch.
