so, i know cham prices go up and down depending on the species, age, pet store, and even down to the time of the year. so the question is, how much did you pay?

i purchase my 4 week old veiled for $50.00 at a local pet shop. (kind of had a hook up)

wow and i thought i got the deal of a lifetime haha..u guys got them cheep..ive seen them as high as $125.00 at petco and petsmart.

I've seen Veileds at Petco for about $60 where I'm at. But they looked incredibly unhealthy, so I had to pass it up.

I don't actually have a chameleon yet, I'm just using this website to learn EVERYTHING I can, because they're a little harder to take care of than a lot of reptiles.

I paid $80 for one at a local shop and $40 for another through the mail with a $35.00 shipping rate, both were babies. I've done alot of research to find a better deal in my area but couldn't find anythin close to what you guys paid!! I'm going to the sacramento reptile expo so I hope to pick up another there for alot cheaper, I hope.

I don't work for a big chain but I know my store pays $30 for veileds & then marks them up to $99.99 for babies. They get away with it because a lot of people don't dare order from the internet & there's no reptile expos around our area.

Still depends, I was over in hawaii and got them for $7 each, but over the internet they run about $50 or more.

I paid about 70$ at a reptile store for my first veiled, 5 years ago.
Now the local petco / petsmart sometimes has veileds for close to $200...

My jacksonii was $75 at a reptile show.

Well, they were shipped to us as soon as they were old enough to leave, and since we live in the middle of nowhere we were really short on options. The week before we received them we found a Graceful for only $30 here at a local pet store, but unfortunantly she's no longer with us. Panthers we've found are pricey but their beautiful display of colors and fun personalities have really paid off.
