our cham laid eggs for the first time about 3 months ago .... it went really well she layed 52 infertile eggs ..... now she looks like shes gravid again and shes not eating ..... could she be ready to lay more?

Assuming its a veiled...they can generally lay three clutches a year when not mated. Depending on their care, they can also not lay any eggs.

oh ya shes a veiled i dont know if you can tell what she is from my avatar...

You say depending on their care? can you elaborate on this. Would it be poor care. I have a veiled female and she laid about five months ago and my biggest fear is that she will become eggbound due to my ignorance or neglect.:(

From what I know Linda, veiled chameleons will lay more eggs if fed more, and less if fed less. If dieted correctly I think that it's possible for them to be healthy but not lay any eggs. But, if overfed they can lay extremely large clutches and shorten their life span. So, it's just a matter of finding the right diet for your chameleon. Take someone elses word over mine as I'm just speaking from what I have read and not from experience.

Thanks Jakedn .... I do try my best to balance her diet. She can be a bit of a glutton and her taste for superworms is a bit concerning.
