How to catch wild cockroaches?

ok so heres the deal, i live in hawaii my chameleon dosnt really like crickets. But loves roaches..... and guess what there every were in hawaii. im wondering if theres some sort of trap i can buy or make that i can catch roaches with. because i cant go hunting every night for them haha

Are roaches not available commercially in Hawaii?
This would be a much safer route seeing that you run a risk of transmitting parasites from the roach to you chameleon.
There is still a risk from commercially available roaches, but it is far less than say a will caught insect.
To answer you question, I dont know of any traps for catching roaches.
There are the kind of traps them with bait, but I dont think that is what you are looking for.
On the subject of insecticides, seeing that you are catching wild roaches, a pest animal that most people try to kill, dont you think you run the risk of poisoning you pet.
Most people spray there homes with insecticides a couple times a year to prevent roaches and other pest from getting inside.
I dont know about Hawaii, but you can buy a small breeding colony, about 150 roaches, here on the mainland for under 40 dollars.
I would do a little research and maybe call some local reptile stores to see if any are available.
