How to feed my Cham Dubi Roaches?

I have been feeding my Cham dubi roaches for about a month now but I mostly feed them to him in a cup. I would prefer to not cup feed him cause I don't want him getting lazy. Can I just let roaches roam free in his cage or will they just hide in spots my Cham can't get them?

You can free range them in your cage but they will hide on you. If you have live plants in the cage with dirt they will actually dig in and hind. I found some months later still hanging out in the dirt lol.

He's not going to get lazy if you cupfeed roaches. Especially if you're free-ranging other food, like crickets, for example. If it worries you just switch up how you feed different things, or tong/hand feed and hold up insects and varying distances.

I usually place them on the roof part of the cage, as she likes picking them off this way. I have found them in the sand blasted branch, but eventually they wander out, and my cham will find them. They're not doing any harm, and at least they're not drowning when the mister comes on!

LOL yeah never free range roaches >.< I dropped one a while ago in my panther cage and I found it 3 months after still alive!

Yeah, Roaches hide and are nocturnal, so your cham won't find them.

My Jackson's will only eat Roaches if i place them on a nearby branch or leaf.

If I have to feed dubia, they never leave my sight, until they enter a Cham mouth. I take zip ties and stick them up the dubias butt. Then I hold the other end of the zip ties and watch my chams. I love watching my 4 month old quads attack them.:)

If I ever had a dubia lose in the house - that my husband knew about - he would get rid of the so fast it would make your head swim.

you can also hand feed them like do..trust me it took a long time to get used to the idea but watching the chameleon get excited is all worth it,lol

Move the cup from time to time. All of mine will hand feed for the first one or two but then I need to cup feed them the rest after that.
