Learn about the different life stages of black solider fly larvae, and how to how to hatch them into a black solider fly.
Haha that how my female Cristifer is! She will try to grab them out of my tongs before I even have a chance to put them in her enclosure. My chameleon's favorite food are black soldier flies. She will take her time getting to the feeder cup for most things, but when girlfriend sees me approach her enclosure with the flies, it's on. She will move as fast as she can to hunt them down.
That's definitely happened to me too! Glad you enjoyed itLol and then there's me who just has a container of larvae I forgot about, open it one day and realize there is flies. Great video!!
Much tamer than blue bottle flies which are total spazzes in comparison. You can actually see one of the BSF climbing on me at the end of the video lolJust for those who are worried about letting flies loose in the house. These guys are not like your ordinary house flies. So with that being said they are very easy to catch and not only that if you pick one up you will notice they will most likely just walk on your fingers kinda like a pet fly ?.
I've heard warmer temps will make them pupate faster. Here I am just staring at the container trying to will them into pupating...
I was attempting to be funny girl! Yeah I do that... They just hate me. take their time then all 100 want to hatch out at once. Its like lord of the flies in Beman's cageI've heard warmer temps will make them pupate faster.
