How to keep mistking tank clean?

Just got a mistking mister and was wondering how to keep tank clean. I know you cam take hose off at fitting but after few times that fitting will stop seal right? Or do they seem to work for awhile. Just want to keep everything freash for my cham. Or do most just unhook it at the tanks bulkhead?

If you use distilled water there won’t be any water spots.

Until you get that system built you can let the reservoir go as low as possible and then sop up the water with a clean towel and wipe out the reservoir. I don't ever disconnect the bulkhead. I keep my reservoir covered to prevent dust and fungus gnats from getting in there.

I guess i should have said i cant use my regular tap water. It has Sulfur in it. Its well water. I get water from town to drink and for my cham. So i cant go that route. But like the idea. If i move will be doing that. I took a snap shot of it.

I was more looking of mybe fitting to hook to line to unhook my line easier. So i could clean it.

yeah thats what i did. I guess im just worried

I use RO water in mine. I've heard others use a bubbler to help keep the water moving as well to avoid fungal growth etc

Yeah RO my water with a filter when i get it from town. I use a filter like they use for rv to hook to water lines. Then fill my jugs up. But a bubbler is good idea
