How to offer worms

Right now pascal is eating crickets. Got some meal worms and wax worms for the occasional treat. I tried putting them on a small plate at the bottom of the enclosure, but he didn't go for them. Could it be he was not hungry? And is there a better way to offer worms to a veiled?

I put them on plant leaves, vines or in bowls suspended mid-way up or higher in the cage, near where the chameleon likes to hang out. The floor of the cage is likely not the best choice.

I also put them up on branches and leaves. My guys don't pay attention to the cage floor. Although I don't feed wax worms or meal worms really, its mostly horn worms, silk worms or butter worms.

Well I laid the wax worm on a leaf next to him, and he took it in a matter of seconds. The second worm he waited a while till he took it. Thanks for the help everyone.

I offer them with a feeding tongs hell walk down to the door as soon as he sees them I give him all his feeders this way.I had a feeding cup but he takes everything from the tongs now

I never thought to use tongs. I also keep and have worked with snakes and using tongs were sometimes the best method for getting the mouse/rat in the enclosure.

Nom Nom

put them in a small silver container so he can see the reflection it can help and mostly it'll feel the vibrations of the tin or what ever metal you use. Try it out itll love it.:)

We've had a lot of success with white plastic mealworm dishes with the little lips on them (55 cents on our website) - you can just leave them in for the day and the worms can't crawl out. We also have some magnetic ledges that fit the dishes, and I know those work super well. My dad's chameleons figured those out in just a day, and the customers who have taken them home have loved them for their chams too.
