How to repel pest insects without harming chams/feeders?

If you decide to try Borax in the future (which we use for fleas very successfully) you can get a "squirt bottle" (like the kind people put ketchup in, with the long tapered tip) and actually squirt the Borax between the floorboards and around the baseboards.

Yea that sounds like an excellent idea. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to line the sliding glass windows with it and such to try to keep them out more.

Thanks for the suggestions!

You're welcome. It wouldn't hurt at all. It's great stuff. It's inexpensive and multipurpose. While we started using it for fleas, we found the treatment (sprinkle lightly over carpet, work in, let sit until next vacuum day) made the carpets look, feel and smell cleaner.
