How well do chameleons hear?

The reason I'm asking is because my panther Leo is in the office and I often have Spotify on. Not blasting but you can see from the pic that he is pretty close. I just want to make sure this isn't stressing or hurting him. Thanks

They definitely can't hear those sounds. They're practically deaf; from what I remember reading, their hearing is restricted to a few decibels. As long as there aren't vibrations like those caused by subs, you're totally fine. So for example a party with really loud music that you can feel would be a total no-no. But your music at a moderate volume won't hurt him.

Ive noticed they can tell diff voice tones..if strangers come around and they hear diff voice tones even without seeing mine get concerned. Seems like the hearing/proximity vibration they have is more tuned to like low level vibrations..which i think it exists mainly for courting and little signals like get away to other chams or sometimes even excitement.
