Got the cricket keeper, plus tub of vitamin powder plus a tub of calcium+D3. So just waiting for the normal calcium (calcium carbonate) to arrive. Can someone just confirm that I've got the regimen correct? It's calcium (daily insect dustings), vitamin + calcium D3 (once a fortnight insect dustings).

Monsoon arrived today. Not sure it was a wise choice considering some of the reports on this forum, but hey ho, its done now. Looks smart, quiet running, gets stuff wet, fine mist I'm thinking maybe 4 or 5 short bursts of about 20s in the mornings. Does that sound about right?

Started off with 12 second burst, every hour in the morning (well, till about 2pm). Everything above the floor is perfectly dry between sprayings. I noticed that the humidity is going up at night, so in the morning it's around 85%. Lifted the floor material and there's a small puddle developing just above the exact area I intended to put a drain. So gonna put a drain in ASAP and increase flow duration a bit, then see what happens.

Installed a drain. Now misting is 30 seconds, every hour from 8 till 2.

May as well update this. Now installed two small circulation fans on the roof (one sucking, one blowing), and George loves Dubias. He's getting a bit of a belly on him now

Quick note, didn't really have a chance to even read yet. Just saw UK and vivarium. I know and understand husbandry is different over there, and I by know means judge. I have been know to be a little preachy on our US keepers, but that's because it is how we do it here. Substrate and glass is popular over there and I get it and I understand the reasons. Just don't let people discourage you when start to nit pick on you. All I wanted to say. Pretty Veil. Will have a look at thread when I have time in a bit. Congrats on new hobby.
