I swear my panther grew over night. He is just finishing up his shed and he just seems so much bigger than yesterday.

I'll post a before and after shed pics. once he's done. So you guys can tell me what you think.

I have found that pictures always seem to make them look bigger than they actually are. What is the weight and measurement in length?. That is the true way to tell.

He is about 5 inches nose to vent. After looking at him again I don't think he's that much bigger. He tricked me lol.

Before shed.

How old is he? Even human children sometimes seem to grow while you're out of the room getting a soda.

I suppose there's some explanation relating to attention to the "subject" compared to the background...but never the less, I know it happens.

He is almost 6 months. He was born early Jan.

Yeah..he just looked bigger this morning. Also might be he was all fired up and rather annoyed this morning. He was on the move, busy getting his shed off.

I love his bars...they almost look purple. Espically when he is fired up. I love the huge difference from the day before his shed and then right after.

You better be careful and keep a close eye on him. If you turn your back for about 30 seconds they are adult chameleons. After all this time I still don't know how it happens.:confused:

I suspect shed days for young ones are more apparent "growth moments" because they are, in fact, growing out of their skins. But it's just generally true that the little ones, regardless of species, seem to suddenly be bigger at times.

I've often suddenly realized my daughter is taller...I'd been with her all day and not noticed until, for no apparent reason, she looks taller. And she is. We have that door frame with the measurements and I'm always right when I declare "you've grown!".

I suspect that is to be the case. I was gone a full day and im typically home most of the day with him. He probably has gotten bigger but I never noticed until I came home.

And I totally agree Laurie. Ive only had him two and half months, he was once size of my pointer finger. Now hes a big boy getting a teen attitude with me.

He looks to be a very large size for 5-6 months to me and very mature coloring also for that age. Very beautiful too I might add! Did you get him from a breeder or pet store, or individual? Sometimes the pet stores do not know the ages and give you the wrong info. The breeders of course know when they were born.
