Hi people

New to the chameleon keeping.
I've set my mist king to do the last mist at tea time everyday.
So that leave 4 hours for the enclosure to dry out before the lights go out.

But woken up today and checked the humidity and it's 79-80%

Is this to high????

It's risen up during the night.
If that is to high how do I stop it?

Thanks
Dean

As the air temperature drops in the evening (which is good to a point) the level of humidity will increase. If the temperature drops to "dew point", humidity is then 100% and dew starts to form.

This part of a normal night time cooling cycle. Some notes I'm working from say chameleons "prefer a distinct 5 to 10 F night time temperature drop accompanied by an increase in the relative humidity".

What kind of enclosure are you using? If the humidity is too high (all the time) maybe there isn't enough ventilation.
