humidity concerns

Im currently building an enclosure for pygmy chameleons, and I am wondering if the products on the market called "humidi mats" are similar in practice to a sheet of cork. If you have one of these on the walls of a tank and then you mist does it cause the humidity to spike and soak the cage or does the combined efforts of a humidi mat and a mist not have enough of an effect to make it a concern

Yeah those himidimats are kinda having the same properties as a cork flats. They absorb water and release them slowly. Here is a link for a pygmies enclosure setup for your reference.
