I'm having trouble keeping humidity up in my screen cage I've read to cover it with plastic but then I lose the ventilation might as well put him in a glass cage anyway dose a cool mist humidifier work and can you tell if his skin is to dry I have a mister going off every hour and he gets hit by it but my humidity level is staying at only about 22%

I run an ultrasonic cool mist humidifier in the winter. I can't maintain any decent level of humidity without it, even with the mister. I fill it up in the morning and let it run through the day, usually letting it stop over night. I place it next to the enclosure and let the mist percolate through the screen. Just be sure to clean it regularly. The ultrasonic ones grow mold a lot slower than the hot mist humidifiers, but it does still grow.

I bought one from Target for about $40. Get one with a reservoir of at least a gallon. That way, you only give to fill it once a day.
