Humidity suggestions.

hi guys im from the uk and its that time of year we freeze to death, so we have our heating in our homes on most of the day which takes any humidity in the air.

My humidity sticks to about 25-30 but i usual like it at 35-40. I have an auto mister that comes on 60seconds 3 times aday.

I have live plants anyone got any suggestions on keeping humidity stable

I would probably increase the time from 60 seconds to something like 2-3 minutes. That should help.

I got a humidifier to take care of low humidity days...
It wastes way less water in comparison to your misting and can continuously keep humidity up.

I'd also spray at least like 2-3 minutes at a time like @Angelwolf said, this will give him time to respond to the misting and have sufficient time to clean out eyes and drink. (they can be slow to respond).

What would you do with all the water at botterm of viv?

I have placed my cages on a watertight plateau where I drilled a hole in so water can flow out and be collected into a drainage bin.
Some people have used the trays for the washing machine to collect the water in.

Would you reconmend a fogger?
Fogger == (cool mist) humidifier...
So yes...

But don't fog the whole enclosure since it could cause RI if your cham is exposed to it to often/long... Most fogger can handle a whole room so you can just bring the rooms humidity up (good for you too :) ), otherwise I'd say fog half the enclosure and leave the other half 'dry'.

You can use some tubing or PVC piping to guide the mist where you want it.

Funny I was going to tag u and @WAMBO for this question .

@RandellTheCham if you are creative @WAMBO can help you build one it works great .

I personally just concentrate most of my spraying to the top half of the cage, until all of the leaves are dripping wet. The bottom of my cage is bare, so yes, a little water collects, but it evaporates completely before misting again. And the majority of the water lands on the leaves, and stays there, until it's dry. So far (fingers crossed!) I haven't had any trouble with flooding. But, again, I am hand-misting. Probably a huge difference from using a mist king, or something.

I bought a humidifier from walmart to help with humidity in the winter. I got mine for 30 dollars and the tank will last all day on full blast. Live plants also help maintain humidity.

I use a humidifier in between mistings for a few hours at a time. It's a mini one brand is Bruer. It literally fits right into the cage. Cool mist. And then once is runs out I normally refill or leave it alone for the rest of the day depending on how dry it Is. I too use a heater to up the temps right now. However I'm in upper Florida and it's rainy and Humid today so I take advantage of that and open up the window.
